Super Bowl Party

I had planned to blog on our fantastic Super Bowl party after a colossal win by the Broncos!!

But that didn't even remotely happen...

Honestly, we were all so disappointed with the game. We got home from church just after 4:00 and in time for the kickoff. We had put together a huge lasagna in the morning and my sweetie put it on time-bake so it was pretty much ready when we got home. We threw
together some salads and garlic bread and we were good to go.

Bossy and Gamer showed up with their family. After a while we were joined by a friend of Princess and the Gym Rat and his friend. We had all the elements of a good party, including Oreos. The only thing missing was a good football game!

He wasn't smiling last night.
It should have been evident on the very first play, but it wasn't. One thing we seem to have at my house is perpetual hope. Sport was just sure that Denver could pull it off, but after the second half started and they were blown away, he gave up and went to play cards with the kids.

It was still fun. My sweetie and Gamer watched until the bitter end. Gamer was all for the Seahawks, of course. He always chooses opposite of my sweetie, just to put a little competition in things.

The party ended with the game. Within 20 minutes, everyone was gone who didn't actually live here. Now all I have left is the cleanup and since I didn't require assistance last night, I guess it is all my responsibility.

There are some things I just don't love about Mondays.

Bad Sunday night football games are one of them.

Any game is a lot more fun when it is close! Denver just didn't bring their A game. It was sad.

Totally agree with you about the game.

Oh, I probably shouldn't be smiling on this one but I am. We just watched a few moments a couple of times. So unusual for this to be such a one sided game.
Blessings!
