Our Football Guys

We have had so much fun watching our guys play football this season. Burrito have played on the JV team and he has dressed for Varsity.

Curly is the Center for the sophomore team.

These guys work so hard and they love what they do.

We are just so proud of them and the season has been so fun!

Baby Doll's Art Class

Not too long ago, Bossy won a certificate for a 12-week art class at the Visual Art Institute. It didn't work for her schedule, so she passed it along to me. At first, I was a bit annoyed because we have a pretty full schedule too, but after looking through their offerings. We found a Digital Art class that worked.

The drive downtown was almost 30 minutes, so I decided to stay. They led me into a library/ lounge area with pictures and books.

I spent the time stitching. It was relaxing and it felt nice to not have to do anything else. The 2nd week was very much the same.

I could get used to this...

Curly's Eagle Project

I have been consumed this week with Curly's Eagle project. We made 8 more baby quilts for the Humanitarian Center.

We started setting up at 10am and we tied 4 quilts at a time. Curly had friends from the neighborhood and fellow scouts drop by to help for a while.

Bossy's little guys were so cute!

We even had time for a little silliness...

We got things done so quickly that we even had time to tie a single bed quilt for Bossy.

It was another great day.

Bye.

Scout had a great time tonight at the party where Gamer works. He was a great sport, sitting in the dunk tank.

The kiddos loved the bounce houses and other games.

Happy 88th Birthday, Grandpa!!

My dad turned 88 today. We had a bbq with some of the kids and he got a nice Jazz blanket from my brother and his wife.

We got him a book and some new socks.

My sweetie smoked ribs and he made rolls.

It has been an amazing day!

News from North (South) Dakota by Elder Sport

 Hey Buddies!

I'm staying in Rapid City till the end! I'm excited to finish up strong. My mom is so excited that I got my flight plans haha, I'm going home Oct 14th. Plenty of time to get some good work done.

I like it when scriptures occasionally answer each other, it fits in cool, so here's an example for my little spiritual thought....

Ether 3:2

O Lord, thou hast said that we must be encompassed about by the floods...

D&C 61:6

Nevertheless, all flesh is in mine hand, and he that is faithful among you shall not perish by the waters.

Sometimes it feels like we're drowning in life... and while we are promised adversity we are also promised protection! He will save us as we reach out to him and cry like Peter did, "Lord, save me!"

Miss you all, I'll try to send out one or two more emails before the end. Prayers for all of you!

Crazy Weekend

Life has been so crazy lately. Yesterday, we picked up a 15' U-Haul to take the long trip south to Grandma's house. We took off when church was over today. After a couple of hours of packing both the U-Haul and my car, we unloaded them into the livingroom.

The biggest reason we went down was this...

My sweetie inherited a pioneer-era foot-pump organ. We were so grateful to get it all setup and ready to go.

Now to tackle the rest of this pile...

Wordless Wednesday - Baby Doll

Baby Doll made the top Bingham Jr High volleyball feeder team! They had their first games tonight and she was awesome.

Sorry, that wasn't exactly wordless...

Traveling Together - Jeremy Ranch

You didn’t see any pics of my sweetie at the family reunion, because he was at home, busily pouring a beautiful new finish on our hardwood floors.

After the reunion, our nifty travel plan gave us a condo big enough for everyone about half an hour away at Jeremy Ranch. We had to avoid the house for a few days because of the smell.

We played games in the clubhouse...

And did a puzzle.

We cooked our own food and we watched movies. We even watched Newsies for the Dog Walker (since he missed it last time).

Even with all the stairs, we had a great time!
