Master Builder

You know that Sport loves all kinds of sports. He is up for tennis, baseball, football, basketball... if it has a ball, he is pretty much there. What you might not know about him is that he is a guy of many of faces. He loves chess and he is getting really good at it. He even won a trophy a few months ago in one of the scholastic tournaments.

He also drives me crazy with all of his reading! Sport has not always been a reader. He struggled when he was little and I think that was partly because he couldn't see very well, but now it is hard to get him to put a book down. There are times when he is supposed to be in bed and I find him on the couch finishing "just one more chapter..."

He loves cars, basically anything with wheels, in all different sizes and styles, from pinewood derby cars to vintage roadsters. He could spend hours at a car show.

He is so much like his dad. He even wants to be an engineer when he grows up. I always thought he would decide on electrical, but lately I'm thinking he has way too much talent designing things and he really should be a civil or mechanical engineer. He loves Lego building blocks and he can make some amazing things with them. This is currently his display in his bedroom. As you can see, he keeps it up high on a dresser, far away from little fingers. He is definitely a master builder.
Ever hear of Kra Gl e, Sport?

Did I make a big deal about him turning 12 last week? I know we talked about his parties with his family and friends and we made a big deal about his ordination, but I don't think I even wished him a happy birthday on the blog.

So happy belated birthday, Sport! You're awesome!

He is one adorable young man. I love that he enjoys reading since I am a reader too. He sounds very creative and fun that he wants to follow his Dad.
Hugs for him!
