Waffles - Gym Rat Style

Gym Rat's friend whipping cream.
We love waffles at our house. My sweetie makes these Belgian Waffles covered with fresh whipped cream and strawberries.

Best.Breakfast.Ever!!!

We even have a waffle maker that cooks two at a time! So it was only natural that one of the first items the Gym Rat wanted to purchase after he got into his new house was a waffle maker. He shopped around until he found a good one and then he called me for the recipe.

It worked great!
The first time he cooked waffles was amazing! He was so proud of himself. Since that day he has made waffles for his friends and waffles for his coworkers. The only person he hasn't made waffles for is me!

Lately he and his friends have been eating them 4 or 5 times a week. Seems smart to me, that's a pretty cheap meal if they don't put the strawberries and cream on them.

Then one night last week, his married friend was over to share in their deliciousness. So the Gym Rat went all out and purchased fresh whipping cream and strawberries. Unfortunately, he couldn't find the wire beater for his mixer. After looking for quite some time, he did the "guy" thing.

He got out the electric drill...

The drill idea is genius! We also love waffles! Buttermilk waffles are our favorites! And strawberries are a must! We've never done cream, we normally do peanut bigger and syrup, but now I want to try it!

Is he going to make some waffles for you soon? I hope so, Mother's day is this weekend you have 12 children and many grandchildren already, hoping they honor you..Maybe your son Gym Rat will make you some waffles and go all out afterall you are his Mother, not co-workers or friends..We skip Mothers day, my mom is gone, my hubs mothers is gone, we only have one child and she is in NYC and so we help at the food pantry and honor the mothers who are hungry and we make a feast, Belgian waffles, eggs, real ones, no powdered eggs there, real ham, real bacon and real orange juice..toast if anyone is hankerin for that and I bake cakes oh, my boston cream pie cakes, tons of them for each lady to take home, they are not real big but enough for a sweet treat..I think it honors Mothers and since I don't have mine nor my hubs we think it wonderful to make sure other Mothers are full on that morning and brunch afternoon, have a wonderful Mother's day soon, ciao!

Oh, yes there is hashed browns and fresh fruit, the whole families eat with their Moms, so many are hungry here and I think it wonderful to make sure human beings who happen to be MOMS get food they need to work their many jobs, that is how I roll, happy happy week and weekend to a TERRIFIC MOTHER, ciao & X()

That is hilarious! But you know, I've whipped whipping cream with just my beaters before...you don't even need the whisk attachment. :)
