So tonight was Baby Doll's last band concert for her 5th grade band, but after 17 years of teaching nearly all of my children to play instruments in the elementary band program, Mrs. Jen Worthen is retiring her baton. Or she would be if she used one.
We enjoyed watching Baby Doll play her instrument.
And receive her music medal, but we were totally surprised when our family was awarded the Legacy Award.
It even included a little trophy!
But Curly and Scout and lots of other kids from her 17 years of teaching were there for another reason.
She invited them all to come and play her favorite song one last time.
LET'S GO BAND!!
