Spring Break - Day 4, Traveling Together

Thursday was a crazy day! We got up early and after breakfast, my sweetie drove us the rest of the way to St George while I read the Evil Librarians sequel to the kids.

We got to St George before we could check into our hotel room, so we used our Get Out Pass to check out the St George Dinosaur Discovery Site museum.

Some of the kids had been there before, so they moved quickly through the exhibits, but my sweetie and I took our time.

It's actually a really cool place!

My sweetie and I had way too much fun...

Especially after we got these little guys from the giftshop.

The kids were more excited about the dumplings they convinced us to buy from a nearby food truck. They were yummy!

Still not time to check in, so we used the Get Out app to find another place to go. Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum was on the list.

Not sure how I feel about this place. Taxidermy is not really my thing.

But my sweetie liked it... and the kids had fun...

Finally! Time to check into the hotel! I wanted a nap, but the kids had a different idea. Apparently, they were all excited to visit the local Rage Room. I was good to just watch.

I hate to tell you that they all loved this activity.
Our Get Out Pass paid for the axe throwing we did for the next half hour...

Looking back, I honestly can't believe I survived this day.

We grabbed Pinkbox doughnuts on our way back to the hotel. I needed a sugar rush. The kids still wanted to go swimming...

Spring Break - Day 3, Traveling Together

Wednesday was a "get-everything-ready-do-four-dr-appts-have-dad-work, finally get on the road at 5:30 day. Fortunately, after a stop in American Fork to deliver cookies, we were finally on our way to Fillmore.

We grabbed Arby's in Nephi and checked in at the motel at 9:00 pm. That left us just under an hour to swim... if we hurried...

Sorry for the fuzzy, steamy pics.

Spring Break - Day 2

We took our Get Out Pass and headed south this time. It was a beautiful day and Scout was driving, so I was in a great mood. We grabbed Sodalicious on our way out of town and it wasn't long before we were in Provo. Unfortunately, Curly forgot to check the time and our first venue didn't open until 3. Not to worry, we simply headed a few miles down the street to Fat Cats. They gave us each cards for the arcade.

I have never been very good at arcade games, but Baby Doll was amazing at this one!

She got 1000 twice in a row!!

Curly and Scout racked up the tickets at skee-ball, and I shot hoops with Curly and won. Fat Cats has a Costa Vida, so we grabbed lunch, but it was only 2:00 when we finished, so we looked on the Get Out Pass for something else to do.

FishKiss was just up the street, so we decided to go there.

Baby Doll and I had a great time putting our hands in the tank and letting the tiny fish eat the dead skin from our fingers.

Curly and Scout were pretty freaked out about the whole idea.

They were not sad to leave.

It was finally time to go to Provo Beach Resort. We were all excited to go bowling!

Unfortunately, we were all pretty rusty.

Scout beat us all with the amazing score of 65. (Did I ever tell you I played in a bowling league? ...about 20 years ago...)

The kids were sad to leave.

So Scout took us to Dairy Queen for ice cream on the way home. Baby Doll had volleyball practice at 5:30 so we had to hurry.

Day 2 was another great success!

Spring Break - Get Out Pass

Every year our kids get a gift from "Baby New Year." Sometimes it's games or books, and this year we decided what we wanted to focus on was fun time with our kids, so on Black Friday, we bought them each a Get Out Pass.

We had only used it once for a hockey game and time was ticking since they were only good for a year, so my sweetie suggested we fill our Spring Break with fun activities. Yesterday we started at Seaquest Aquarium in Layton.

We toured the Seaquest when it first opened and we loved it. This time we were a little underwhelmed. Tokens for activities were way too expensive, but we bought a few anyway.

I think Dog Walker loved the hurricane tube the most.

Curly and Baby Doll loved hanging out with the little Bengal cats.

We grabbed an Orange Julius and headed to our next spot.

We planned to go bowling, but the lanes were full so we made our way back to the mall. The Colosseum had several activities, but we decided on Axe throwing.

The kids were amazing, of course. Curly threw his like a baseball.

Such a fun day.

Guest Blog: A Grandma Visit by The Dog Walker

Mom asked me to guest blog for her, because she's been very busy with a lot of things, like taking care of Girl Scout cookie orders and plenty of other paperwork. Sunday was a day of going to Church, but after that, we went to visit with our grandma who ordered Girl Scout cookies. She wasn't feeling very well, so we visited her a little bit and talked about a lot of things, like I got to tell her about my trip to New Jersey. Some of the kids were getting really bored with visiting, and Grandma needed a little more time with herself, so we left and delivered more cookies to another person who lived in Sanpete County. We also went to visit Dad's cousin who lived a little past Nephi City in Juab County. Elder Sport was being teased by his mission companions thinking that Dad looks more like Moses than Santa Claus, so Mom took a picture of Dad's cousin to send to Elder Sport, so he could prove them wrong. I'm sure they'll have a laugh. Anyway, we also had fun on the drive to and from Grandma's house. We played a little bit of movie trivia games and talked a lot about things. It sure was a fun time for of us.
