Middle School Band Concert

Thursday night was Baby Doll's band concert. They had it in the gym at Bingham. Honestly, I don't know how anyone could sit through an entire basketball game on those beachers!!

Great job, Baby Doll!! Guess your seat was uncomfortable too.

Traveling Together - Coming Home

It was a VERY long drive!!

So glad to be home!!

UPDATED...TravelingTogether - Fanny Bridge

We got up Tuesday morning with the whole day stretched ahead of us. My sweetie has been working a ton, but he promised to take us to Fanny Bridge. We piled in the car with jackets and coats; the weather had turned a bit nippy and the clouds were leaking.

It was a short drive; only about 15 minutes from the condo.

The water was beautiful, but the museum was closed, so we went back to the room and we did a painting project.

We painted these cute little piggy banks, then my sweetie went out on the deck to work so I could make dinner. 

We  spent the rest of the evening playing Yahtzee and packing up.

Home tomorrow...

Traveling Together - Winning the Bracket

We got up before 6:30 am and headed into Reno. Baby Doll's first set started at 8:00 and we didn't want to be late. 

They won the first set...then the second set...

It was time for the championship bracket. Only one more set!

They won their bracket!!!!

After pics, we got Baby Doll's stuff from the team van so we could take her with us back to Lake Tahoe. She was fascinated with the lake, all 45° of it!

The girls played on the shore for about 45 minutes.

Then my sweetie made us an incredible dinner and we had a dance party on the deck until it started to rain.

This day was so amazing

Traveling Together - Reno Sparks Convention Center

We got up around 9:00 on Sunday. Church was only about 5 minutes from the condo. For a minute, I thought it was under construction, but then we realized that they must have just boarded the windows up against the deep snow.

We stayed for Sacrament meeting and then back to the condo. We had to be in Reno by 3:00 for Baby Doll's next round of pool play.

But we could afford a minute for another selfie by the lake...

Games were brutal, but we came out with a few wins.

Back at Tahoe, tv dinners and bed. Tournament starts tomorrow, 8:00 AM.

The drive today was long and we only made a couple of stops, but before we even got to the condo, we could tell it would be worth it.

The cabin itself is so cute! Wait, let me show you.

But if you turn the other way...

Yeah, that's Lake Tahoe! Less than 50 yards from our front door!

My sweetie and I walked down to the beach.

This is such a beautiful place!! More tomorrow...

Traveling Together - Elko

Today was busy, crazy, but we finally got out of town around 2:30. Scout drove us as far as Wendover, where we made our first potty break.

Then my sweetie took the wheel and drove us the rest of the way to Elko. We checked into the Thunderbird Motel and my sweetie took a nap while Scout did some homework and I read my Kindle.

But after a while, our tummies were rumbling, so we looked for a place to eat. We finally settled on Italian.

Now to sleep. Tomorrow? Lake Tahoe!
