A few months ago, we didn't know if an actual graduation ceremony was even a possibility for our high school seniors. Sport has been upbeat and positive through it all; grateful for the good things and just pushing through the bad ones. Wednesday turned out to be one of the good things as we gathered at the smaller Real Stadium in Herriman to say goodbye to the Senior class of Bingham High School 2021. Parking was limited, so we all rode out together early. Tickets were also limited, so my sweetie and I, Crafty, and Grandpa were Sport's entourage for the night. We got there about 5:45 and just hung around until 7:00 when the processional started. Bingham graduated over 800 kids, so it took a while for them to all make the long walk across the soccer field. As the sun began to set, the program wound up, but we still needed to listen to each name be announced. Sport was relatively early on, but we also wanted to cheer for as many of his friends as we could. Each time we recognized a name, especially those from our ward, we clapped and yelled our congratulations.
Finally, it was time for the Madrigals to sing the school hymn and the former students to make their way back across the field. We slid our way through the crowd and back to the car to wait for Sport. There was partying and celebration all around. Someone's mama he didn't even know handed him a lei full of Oreo cookies. She was giving them out as quickly as she could, collecting many smiles and thank yous. It was a beautiful, glorious day of happiness as these kids moved their tassels to official adulthood.

Congratulations on graduating, Sport! What a major accomplishment!
Congratulation to Sport! It looked like an awesome one. However, having 800 graduates is a lot.
We had two Granddaughter's graduations in Idaho. Averi is a special needs child and they had a great celebration at home. She did school through the 11th grade and then was homeschooled last year.
Our other Granddaughter graduated and the program was a total of one hour because there was only 100 students. They didn't have a boatload of speakers either.
Hugs for Sport and I loved all the photos!!
