We had so much fun on Friday night with our Girl Scout troop! As I've told you before, we have been limited on what we can do because of COVID, so instead of a campout, we met together to practice camping.
The girls brought their camping gear and we spent time learning how to camp; rolling sleeping bags, hanging hammocks. But that wasn't all we did.
We played yard games and basketball. They also enjoyed the sandpile and tetherball.
We made sure the girls had plenty of time for just being together.
We put the firepit in the middle of the lawn for safety reasons and after learning to build a fire, we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows for s'mores.
We gave out awards and the tie-dyed t-shirts the girls made a few weeks ago.
It was just so nice being together. I hope I never take that normal part of scouting for granted again.

This does look like a fun Girls Scout activity. I'm sure the girls had a great night of bonding and learning.
Sending hugs!
