Traveling Together - Steamboat Kindness

If you remember, my sweetie was pretty sure the needed car repair was the water pump, so first thing Monday morning, he got on the phone and started calling mechanics. By the time he had called all 20 on his list, the soonest anyone could look at our van was December 7. We were devastated! There had to be a way.

So I called the only person in town I could think of...the Bishop we met for about 2 minutes at church.

He showed up at our house 20 minutes later. Then he took our van and left us with his very nice truck so we could get around town. He was hoping his friend would be willing to rearrange a little and work on our van.

Meanwhile, we did what the Bishop wanted us to do...we explored Steamboat Springs.
First thing we did was go on the little hike we missed on Sunday. The waterfall was beautiful.
Even Grandpa made the hike.

But I think he preferred the little shops downtown.

So many ways to spend your money!!
We found a hometown diner and grabbed dinner.

Maybe waiting for them to finish the van wouldn't be so bad afterall.
