Our little transport to the beach started at 8:30 and we wanted to get there. My sweetie was looking forward to solid ground, and I was fascinated by the changing colors of the water.
Bimini is a small port only used by Carnival Cruise lines, but it was our first taste of the Bahamas and we wanted to enjoy it all.
On Monday, the water was so choppy that we never wanted to cruise again. It was hard to walk without holding on to something. Even the stewards said it was unusual.
Bimini seemed like the perfect answer to stability.
We rode the little tram to Beach 360 where we had a little spot reserved near the water.
It was also churned up by the choppy water and much rougher than we expected. After an hour or so, the water calmed and became a beautiful teal blue.
We walked in the sand, staying a respectful distance from the surf; letting the cool water lick our ankles.
Then we climbed back on the tram and headed for the little shopping district where we picked up a few bargains before making our way back to the ship. While we were still docked and relatively stable, we played a little mini golf.
I had an uncharacteristic win!
The we watched some kids playing in the Waterpark. It made me miss my own.
We explored the other decks and watched a show. It was really loud!!
My sweetie bought me a fancy drink (virgin, of course) and then we went to the main dining room for a nice dinner..
It was a great way to end our evening. Now if only I can sleep...

We miss you too, Mom. We're sorry if the water wasn't being pleasant with you.
