Holly Jolly First Grade

Thursday night was Scout's 1st Grade Christmas program. They called it Holly Jolly First Grade because they sang a cute song that was a take-off of Holly Jolly Christmas. It was absolutely insane there! The kids were very cute, but there were 150 of them and that meant parents of 150 kids were in the audience. Oh yeah, and grandparents, brothers and sisters, cousins and friends...

We got there about 15 minutes early and it was already standing-room only. We inched our way around the back row and wedged ourselves in between the lunch tables. Sport took Curly and Baby Doll to the front where they sat on the floor so they could see.

About half way through the program a couple of people left who were near us and Teach and I grabbed their chairs. Scout did an awesome job and doesn't she look cute in her new Christmas dress?

She was part of the Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree song so she got to play air guitar and wear shades with a bunch of boys. It was clearly the coolest song of the night.

I'm thinking she might have a future as a rock star... I guess I would be OK with that. We already know how to handle the crowds.
