It was one of those amazing days in the Maverik Center. Salt Lake Community College was having their 2021 Graduation Exercises and Sport was receiving his Associates Degree in General Education.
It is difficult to earn your AS degree when you are only 18 and still finishing up high school. Sport managed to pull it off, not only that, but he did it with High Honors, and that earned him a gold cord to wear with his cap and gown.
The ceremony started at 10:00 AM and after speakers and all, it was already past 11:30 when they were ready to present the gradutates. They had about 700 graduates who attended the ceremony, and by the time each one crossed the stage, it was about 12:30.
It took us another half an hour to get out of the parking lot and then we stopped at 2 restaurants before finally settling at the Village Inn for lunch.
It was another great day for all of us, but most especially Sport.
