Refinishing the Pew

My sweetie isn't happy unless he has a project going on and I think after two weeks off for Christmas, he was just itching to start something. So when I went to the fabric store to buy wedding stuff, I was surprised when he so willingly went along. I didn't realize then that he wasn't really interested in helping me choose ribbon and fabric for the quilts (although he was a good sport about it). He had something else in mind.

He had already decided he wanted to reupholster the church pew in my living room. First let me tell you that we have never really done any reupholstering, so this was all new territory (not that I did anything except run support).

I was a little nervous as I watched him tear it apart, but he was confident and a couple of days later, it was reassembled and it looks beautiful! One more project done...

...wait... it's only halfway done. I still have a pew on the porch and it's stuffing is popping out everywhere. Good thing he is an experienced upholsterer now.

What a unique piece of furniture and I think it is awesome that he could unholster it. It is really cool that he likes to do these kinds of projects. Blessings and hugs!
