SummerPalooza and DC League of Super Pets

Curly had 3 baseball games today for the Nixon Strong tournament, two in the morning, and one in the evening. In the meantime, we managed to hook up with Beauty and The Beast and their kids and catch the Summer Palooza at Thanksgiving Point. We have history with Utah Kid's Club. Way back in the day, when the Dog Walker had just finished his last merit badge in the BSA program, he was invited to give out signatures and promote the Boy Scout program. Just for fun, I am sharing the link with you. Can you believe it has been 10 years?? I have to tell you, the Palooza program has only gotten bigger and better over that decade!
Anyway, we arrived around 3:30. Thanksgiving Point is huge, so just drive west of the Megaplex Theaters and you will be in the right parking lot. They have another full day of awesome activities on Saturday, June 11. We got through the gates quickly and put on our wristbands. The kids were excited to meet Krypto and Ace from the new DC League of Super Pets. Make sure you look for them right near the flagpole.
We took some awesome pictures and they gave us some swag. The kids are excited to see their new movie that is coming up next month. You will want to put that on your calendar too.
Then we decided to do some exploring. There were at least 100 booths of various activities. Baby Doll zeroed right in on this one.
Beauty and The Beast took off in the direction of the bounce houses and Scout wanted to hit the vendors' booths to see if they had anything fun. One of their favorites was the Little Beakers Science Lab for Kids. It is located in Sandy and there were giving every kid a chance to make and take their own little cup of snow.
We met up with the rest of our party right in front of the Butterfly House. Baby Doll, Little Warrior, and Little Squire went inside and they had the opportunity to hold butterflies on their fingers.
The little boys loved it so much that Beauty bought a little house and 10 caterpillars so they could recreate the experience at home.
Since Baby Doll has been at soccer camp all week, she was excited to see the Real Soccer booth. She got a chance to kick for the fake goal and they even gave her a Real scarf!
The kids loved the Wendy's booth where they won enough free tickets that we were able to stop on our way home and grab a bite to eat. Seriously, friends, it is Saturday and you don't want to miss the fun. Summer Palooza ends when the sun sets.
