Short Posts

I was just glancing back through the posts I've done for this week and they are all extremely short! Sorry about that. I've been so incredibly busy I've hardly had time to breathe. Let me just clue you in on a couple of things.

Today was the deadline for Reflections at our elementary school, so Curly, Scout, and Sport were all struggling to complete their entries. Once again they decided they wanted to enter in every category. That made a total of 21 entries for the three of them. We have been working on them for the past month, but they still had tons to finish up plus all the paperwork which is even more lengthy this year than last year. They all wrote their musical compositions yesterday and Scout finished her literature entry while Curly did his film production. I don't like pushing them so close to the deadline. I think we get better quality entries when the kids take their time and have time to make changes if they aren't happy with their first attempt.

Besides that, I think I told you that I offered to do a bunch of work for the Reflections program at our middle school. That took up TONS of time this week! Remember the display Bossy helped me with a couple of days ago? That was only part of the commitment. We also made banners (ok, I didn't really make the banners, Bossy did, but I traded with her...I hemmed 20 flags for her while she did the banners!), secured judges, prizes, and wrote an announcement for the school. I also attended a LONG PTSA meeting.

I dealt with parts of 3 birthdays this week. We had Crafty's family party on Sunday and then her friend party on Monday. Princess had her friend party tonight (I made 96 cupcakes, some for her, some for my niece's wedding tomorrow, and some for Sport's football team), and I made the cakes for Baby Doll's birthday which is on Monday. (I almost always make the cakes in advance and freeze them. They are much easier to frost that way.) My sweetie and I made 27 quarts of applesauce today, dropped all the Reflections entries off at the elementary school, went to the grocery store...three different ones! I went to Curves and worked out, delivered Sport's cupcakes and ran him both ways to and from football practice. I did a couple of batches of laundry and a couple of loads of dishes. I helped the Dog Walker with his homework (that took a couple of hours), and tried desperately to plan my impossible schedule for tomorrow.

It's after 2:00 AM. I just shut off the canner from the final batch of applesauce. The Dog Walker ran Bossy and Fajita home. They have been working on the invitations for her baptism next week, and I've been trying to write you a post while I struggle to stay awake until the Dog Walker gets home. I'm sorry if I'm rambling.

I played volleyball last night for almost 3 hours and I could hardly get out of bed this morning. I also helped Princess invite a boy to Bingham Ball and guess what!? It was so cute! Yup, you're right, it's a Mrs. Fields cookie and if you can't read my bad cell pic, it says, "Yes!"

Now I have something else to worry about...a new dress.
