Friday was a crazy day. We started out with our required presentation early Friday morning. They wanted us to buy into their timeshare, but we politely declined... more than once. So many times, in fact, that we were late for our shoreline fishing appointment.
Our guide was pretty cool and we still got about 40 minutes of fishing time, which was just enough time to get tired, but not long enough to catch anything.
We left our fishing spot on the North Shore and we got on the Road to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It should have taken us 45 minutes or less, but we finally pulled in after an hour and a half.
The first thing we did was climb into a canoe.
We tried a little spear-throwing and the exhibits were pretty cool.
Finally, we hopped on the bus to see the Laia temple. The sister missionaries were so cute.
They showed us BYU - Hawaii...
And the amazing Laia temple.
In the Visitor's Center, they even showed us the perfect little model of the temple.
We had dinner in the ginormous buffet.
Then we walked over to the theater to watch their live show.
They did a great job, especially the fire dancers.
Finally, it was time to drive back to the hotel. The traffic was much easier this time.
It was a great day!
