Tuacahn's Newsies

Did you miss me? :)

We took our annual trip down to Tuacahn's Outdoor Amphitheater so our girl scout troop could watch Newsies. The girls loved the show! It was different from the movie version, but still fun.

This year we traveled in 5 different vehicles and we all converged on St. George around 6:30. The show didn't start until 8:45, so we had time to eat pizza and get settled. Some of the girls even hopped in the pool for a few short minutes.

At 8:00 we loaded the cars again and most of us left for Tuacahn. Bossy and her family stayed at the hotel to watch Twizlet so Teach and Twiz could both go. It was a beautiful evening and not too hot. There were 20 of us there, so we took up the better part of a couple of rows. This was the first time we had been in the center section and the girls enjoyed the closer seats. Since it was preview night, we got our tickets for a decent price (but still a lot for my girls).

After the show we hustled back to the hotel room so we could sing Happy Birthday to Teach before midnight. Princess and The Frog bought her a cake and except for the fact that no one remembered to bring something to cut it with... oh and the fact that we had 26 people in a single hotel room...

Yeah, I love togetherness!

I forgot to take pics when we were at Tuacahn, but one of our moms got a few. This morning we got up and had free breakfast and the kids enjoyed the pool for a bit longer. We hit the road just after 10:30 so we could get back in time for Scout's softball game at 3:15. (They played 3 games today and after 2 losses and 1 win, they are out of the tournament.)

Twizlet playing with my sweetie after the pool. (Sure love this guy!)
It was a fun and crazy trip, but one the girls look forward to every year. That's the biggest reason we love selling cookies.

Thanks, everyone, for supporting my troop!

You do plan the best of events for your girl scouts. This sounded so fun. To have 20 of you going that far is a big accomlsihemnths.
You then put a birthday party into the event; amazing. Happy Birthday To Teach! Then you come home and go to three games. I would just come home and go to bed. Yup! Another amazing adventure for you and yours! Blessings and hugs~
