Feeling Lousy

Man, I don't know if it was that Chinese food I ate yesterday or what. I'm just not feeling too good. And my sweetie is feeling pretty rotten too.

Sport rushed into our bedroom about 6:00 this morning and headed for the bathroom. After a minute he called out, "I threw up, Mom!" Those terrible words no mother likes to hear. "Did you get it in the toilet?" I responded. "No," he hesitated, "On my bed."

I moaned and rolled over. Thankfully my sweetie was right on it. That's probably why he is sick. Maybe I'm just having sympathy pains.

I did managed to drag myself out of bed just after 7:00. Our Co-ed Volleyball team had an 8:00 game. It was pool play and that means three teams were supposed to play and only two would get to advance to the tournament next week. We split games with the first group, and we were very grateful to see that the third team never showed up so we advanced as the second place team.

After a baby shower, we started on the Saturday chores. The Dog Walker and I tackled the "food store" or storage room. It was in terrible shape and we had been avoiding it for a while now. It took us about 3 hours to get everything sorted and rotated.

Then we watched Miracle on 34th Street and folded a huge pile of laundry. Then, just for fun I tackled the coloring corner. But now I'm tired and my tummy hurts. So I sent the Dog Walker down to take some pretty pics of our hard work. Yeah, that's how I feed my big family. You always wanted to know, didn't you?

Hope everyone feels better soon.
That food storage room is amazing. So when the end of the world comes I am moving in with you!!! I love Miracle on 34th St., watch it a few times each year. I am actually going next weekend to see it on the big screen, I can't wait!

Brings back memories of my days as a Walmart grocery stocker. That's awesome, wish I had that in my basement.

You have to have food storage with your family? right?right! It looks like you could last for a few months with your food storage..I like the canning aisles, yummmeee, home canned food tastes so much better than mfg. food...I stock up as best I can it is just me and the hubbs, but we buy for the poor and make sure they eat weekly protein rich foods, and at the holidays we get a huge pork side and some chickens and part it out after we have frozen it..the families are so wonderful, they adore their wives and children, it makes me feel good and the hubbs too..we pay for it on our own, the place we volunteer is not the faith we go to but nonetheless we help out and I praise to God to the pastor and his wife, he feeds those that cannot get food even though they work many jobs and many hours, they should not be denied food. That food pantry has a nice storage place and we regularly clean and put the foods in a rotation..so many can have food weekends..oh, my your storage place looks fabulous, god's blessings at this soon to be holiday time, we both got ill I think it is the flu going around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
