I had to pick up a couple of things at the store today and while I was there, I noticed several carts full of clearanced Halloween stuff. Crafty and I spent a few minutes pawing through and we came up with a couple of fun items.
Crafty found a cute little stuffed ghost for $3 (I tried to take a picture of it for you, but I guess it went to bed with her). And I found these. Tiny pretend ballet slippers just the right size for Baby Doll. They even have ribbons like the other real pointe shoes we have around here, and they only cost me $1.25.
She was so excited to put them on! Crafty insisted that we tie them low like actual pointe shoes, then she couldn't resist finding a little leotard and skirt. The tiny pony tail was the closest she could come to a bun. After a few minutes, Baby Doll looked like a miniature dancer. She was so cute!
Within minutes they had her doing various dance moves and stretches. Prima Donna, Curly, and Sport all joined in and soon I had a regular dance class going on here. They asked me to join them, but I was having too much fun just watching and snapping a few cell pics.
I love those little moments when my children play together. They are kind and inclusive and they clearly love each other. This was one of those paydays when it was great to just be a mom.
All that for $1.25.
