Traveling Together - Williston to Dickinson

Sunday was so fun!! We got to church early so Sport could talk to people before the meeting started.

He has so many friends in the Williston 4th ward! One couple who is very kind to the missionaries offered to feed lunch to our whole group. They made a very delicious gumbo and we had banana splits and a lot of visiting for dessert.

We got on the road after visiting with a few more people. One family gave him a warm loaf of banana bread. It didn’t last very long.

It was time to get moving. We wanted to see the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, but mostly the Badlands. It worked out well since they were on our way to Dickinson.

We saw a herd of bison.

The Badlands of North Dakota are beautiful.

We arrived at Dickinson and ate sandwiches for dinner. The kids are being so good about eating out of the cooler. 

Another adventure tomorrow.

Traveling Together - Billings to Williston

The drive from Billings to Williston, North Dakota was just under 6 hours. We stopped in Sidney, ate lunch, and played at a park. The kids needed a break.

We bought a frisbee and a boomerang. That got them out of the car and moving for half an hour or so.

Williston was Sport's area with the most friends. We are all excited to attend his previous ward there.

 

When we finally arrived, we checked in at the hotel and Sport went visiting for a while. Then we all went to dinner at Lonnie's.

We caught a beautiful sunset on our way back to the hotel.

Now for sleep...
