Happy Birthday, Queso and Burrito

It's been a couple of weeks since Queso turned 5, but we had a great time at his party and I didn't want you to miss it.

I spent most of the party holding Bright Eyes. What do you think of her new blog name?

Today is Burrito's 19th birthday! Can you believe it? Where has the time gone? He had a great party, I am told, but I am hanging out at home with a lousy migraine.

Happy 18th, Burrito!

 I don't always write up birthdays for the grandkids, but 18 is a special one. I am so proud of Burrito! He is working hard to graduate in the spring and he recently finished his Eagle Rank. (Look forward with us to his final Court of Honor on March 23.)

He is a fantastic brother and a fine young man and he is on track to have all his dreams and wishes come true.

Hot & Cold

It has been a fun week and a rough week. My sweetie and I have had fun redeeming a few more of my birthday gifts from places like Einstein Bagels, Texas Roadhouse, Carl's Jr and Del Taco. My sweetie was totally surprised at the generosity of our local businesses.

The first place I took him was Del Taco. He even took a pic so he could brag about the receipt. Three tacos and a regular vanilla shake for $1.87.

It has been a fun game, but now I have to be a bit more serious. Girl Scout cookie deadlines are looming and I had a procedure done on my nose yesterday.

They got me really numb and then they basically burned the turbinates in my nose to hopefully give me more room to breathe. The procedure was painful and now I have 3-6 weeks of homecare.

I finally got my new sheet protectors after nearly a week and I am making good use of them!

Birthday Stuff

Sorry I didn't post last night. I also received a cute keychain and I can't find it, but I will post the other things the kids gave me.

Somebody knew I was scrapbooking!

Happy Birthday, Baby Doll!

She turned 14 today (well, yesterday since it is after midnight). She was SO busy! She had volleyball tryouts right after school and then practice right after that. We took tiny cupcakes for her team that she made last night.

After dinner, my sweetie and I surprised her with tiny cheesecakes and candles.

Then she opened the rest of her gifts. She was excited about all of her new clothes.

About 11:30pm, she got rather melancholy. I suggested she find her baby book and she spent the next 20 minutes reading it to me over the phone.

Back in January, my Jersey girls sent me a super cute birthday gift from Shutterfly. Unfortunately, it got stashed in the wrong box and I just barely found it.

Baby Doll helped me put it together.
