Lesson Learned

You know, one interesting thing I've gleaned from the craziness of this year is that "this too shall pass." I stress and worry over things like Christmas, wedding plans, Thanksgiving, basketball, Nutcracker, scouts... and now when I look back several days or several weeks later, it just seems like a bump in the road; a pleasant memory.

Why is that?

At the time those things seem like the most important thing in the world! Like the book trailer (which has about 100,000 pageviews now, btw), and Prima Donna's Gold Award project, the DYW stress, and even our Go for the Gold Scout night. Many hours and much drama later, they are finished and just something to reflect back on.

Is that how life is for everyone?

Is that why it makes sense to just hold on when things get hard? Because relief is always just around the corner? Wow, maybe 2015 will be my year of reflection. I don't often get so philosophical.

How do you deal with stress in your life? Do you let it consume you or just roll with it assuming it will be better soon?

I am wishing for you a sweet New Year at a slightly slower pace. You are just such an awesome woman and I would say amazing mother.
Stress is a big topic. I handle it best by prayer; sometimes constant. Stress does calm down and get better. I would say that stress and learning how to handle it is a life long process.
Blessings for a sweet week!
