Remember when I told you I was looking forward to things slowing down a little?
Sigh...
I've been trying to update my January calendar. It actually looks worse than the one from December! I've got 4 days/week devoted to basketball. Two to playing and two to coaching/watching my kids play. Our women's team had our first practice tonight. In some ways it was much easier than I worried it might be.
That is until I was chasing a loose ball and I ended up sprawled across the floor. Now I'm sore and achy and wondering if I'll even be able to sleep. I think the biggest problem is that my brain still thinks my body is much younger than it really is.
Could somebody please remind me I'm going to be 50 in a couple of weeks?
No wait, my little brother already did that. He kindly reminded me that it's all downhill from here. It sure felt like it when I was sliding across the floor...

Oh, there you go being amazing again. I love that you are playing basketball. I wish I could; I loved to play basketball but now I have bad Knees so no more basketball for me.
I am sorry that you got hurt and I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Ok, turning 50; you are still a youngin so just enjoy your moments.
