Running Away to the Mountains

On Sunday after church, my sweetie decided we needed to run away to the mountains. He had two places in mind, but the boys chose the spot with an 18-hole disc golf course at Wasatch State Park just outside of Midway.

We took brats and hot dogs, watermelon and chips. I made these amazing Lemon Blueberry Scones for dessert.

We dropped the boys off and then we looked for a nice spot to picnic.

We were next to a small pond and we even had a stretch of grass. After we ate our fill, the kids played spikeball until dusk.

It was so fun to just relax a little and enjoy the cleaner air.

Making a Baby Book

A few days ago, I ran across Baby Doll's Baby book.

I'm embarrassed to admit that it looks like this; pictures and papers just stuffed inside.

None of her birthdays were recorded, but the beauty of that is that Baby Doll was 4 months old when I started the blog. 

I wrote about her 1st haircut...

Her first birthday (and others)...

I added sentences here and there too. I am so glad I can remember life so perfectly for the last 12 and a half years.
