I'm just so excited about the invitations that I have to show you the back! Drama Queen does such a good job, sometimes I think she should go into graphic design. Or maybe wedding planning... I hear she can make big bucks there (not that she charges me anything).
It has been another crazy weekend trying to get the room finished for the Dog Walker and eventually his wife, to move into in the basement. There is so much to be done, sometimes it seems impossible! But I know the only way to eat an elephant is a bite at a time, so we just keep on chewing...

Princess's First Baby Shower
I think I told you we are planning to do a baby shower for Princess next week, and today was the day her mother-in-law had chosen to do one for her in Utah County. We hustled through our basketball games this morning so we could get there by 11:00. Bossy drove us in my car which gave me a chance to repair a bra for Teach. It was a new one she had purchased online and one of the clasps was on it backwards! The repair wasn't too bad, just annoying when they cost so much anyway.
But I digress...
I wanted to tell you about Princess's shower. We were a few minutes early and the first ones there. It was fun to get reacquainted with The Frog's family. They had lots of yummy treats and the "bow tie" theme... bow tie pasta, bow tie sugar cookies, bow tie decorations and treats.
I really liked the game they chose; it was bingo with the gifts. As Princess opened each one, we could cross something off on our Bingo card. I got the first Bingo (and a prize!). Poor Baby Doll, she had possible Bingos 3 different ways and just couldn't manage to win until there were only 2 gifts left and then they called "bedding" when Princess opened a set of sheets. Baby Doll was so excited! We were all relieved that her constant questions were finally over...
A couple of hours after it began, the shower was over and after hugs all around, we headed for the door and the long drive home. Guess it's time to start preparing for our own shower next week. Unfortunately, my house is a construction zone right now. The guys have totally gutted the girls' room to make an apartment for the Dog Walker and Cat Lover and today they ripped up all the carpet in the utility room so we could finally put the tile down after almost 25 years. It's been an interesting week.

Way Too Much Fun
Our basketball team was beaten, but not defeated. The boys worked hard and scored 21 points, but they couldn't stop the onslaught of 3-pointers. I didn't count, but it was somewhere around 10. But I did OK, and we are already looking forward to next week.
Wedding plans are moving forward quickly. I ordered the invitations today and it seems like every day we get something in a box or shipping bag that needs to be opened and set aside for the big day. Baby Doll received her dress yesterday and she has tried it on half a dozen times. She looks so cute!
The ties came today and my sweetie was less than thrilled to have to wear peach.... The green one is for our groom and I'm sure you will see them later, but there are tiny peach bowties for our baby boys! Everybody say awwww.....
The first baby shower for Princess is tomorrow with the in-laws and then the one we are hosting is next Saturday. So many parties! Way too much fun!

Things Happen for a Reason
I was sitting here at my computer tonight contemplating my first game tomorrow night as the coach for Sport's basketball team. I told myself I would never again coach kids over 6th grade after a difficult year with Bossy's team when she was an 8th grader.
Then a week or so ago they called me...
Sport's team was in dire need of a coach for 9th and 10th grade boys. Could I do it? I thought long and hard for about 30 seconds and then I agreed. So far it hasn't been terrible. The guys are pretty willing to listen (or at least pretend to be listening). We have had a couple of practices and I'm hopeful that things will go well.
But back to the sitting at my desk part. A dear friend of mine forwarded me this picture just out of the blue.
If you don't recognize him, Sport is the cute little guy with glasses.
I believe everything happens for a reason. I'm a good coach. It will all be OK. Besides, Sport is a little taller now...
