Cooking Ribs

I love it when the guys from Cave Tools contact me about trying a new product, so much so that when they asked me if I wanted to review their new Rib Roast Rack, I jumped right on it.

Then my sweetie reminded me we didn't have a BBQ with a close-down lid anymore. Since the rack was already on its way, I was worried about how I was going to fill my obligation to write an honest review for you.

That's when my sweetie suggested we talk with The Beast to see if he and Beauty would be willing to try it out for us. They recently bought a new drum smoker and they were loving the way it cooked everything up so nice. They use it every weekend to make enough chicken for the whole week for recipes and salads, but The Beast had never done ribs in it before, so he was happy to try it out for us.

The ribs were mostly done when we got there, but he was anxious to show us that the rack kept them up very nicely in the smoker and it even gave him an extra edge to hang his meat hooks on for the chicken breasts he was smoking at the same time.

The Beast used an all over rub that stayed evenly coated during the cooking process because of the way the ribs stood up in the cooker. Unfortunately, we did get the ribs slightly overcooked, but it was nothing a little Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce couldn't fix.

If you would like to try this awesome Rib Roast Rack, you know I can save you some money. Our friends at Cave Tools wanted to make it even easier for you to buy them, so they gave me a coupon code to save you 15% at Amazon. Just enter LRJMNT3A.

Wow, this looks like a great tool. I guess we should invest in the cooker first. Loved your review~ Hugs!
