The University of Utah is sponsoring a Girls Night Out for heath and well-being. It's next week, February 21 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the South Jordan Heath Center. The address is 5126 W. Daybreak Pkwy and if you don't know the city that well, that's 11400 South. (It's OK, I didn't know they had renamed that road either. I'm just glad they aren't still working on it!)
So this evening is free and they are planning all kinds of fun activities. Now I'm not really excited about the Cosmetic Services, but I am a bit anxious to learn a little more about this menopause thing. And cooking demonstrations are always good. I was thinking maybe I'd take Teach and Princess with me so they can try out the self-defense stuff. Such beautiful girls should be able to take care of themselves.
There is also live music, a chair massage, prize drawings, and the chance to meet Mary Nickles, the KUTV News Anchor. And the chance to meet me! But I'm only going to be there the first hour because I take the fitness part of this discussion very seriously and I have a basketball game just down the street at 8:00.
You want to get there early anyway since guests will get a free accessory bag until they are gone. For more info, check out the website at www.girlsnightout.uofuhealth.org.
**They gave me a tiny bit of money to blog about this opportunity. Silly people, I would have done it for free!**
