The Dog Walker's Luau

Last Christmas the Dog Walker got a package of paper umbrellas as a gift. All these months later, he has been planning a Luau just so he could use them. I finally convinced him that we should wait until Teach got home and he agreed.

Then last week got pretty hectic, so we made arrangements to have our Luau on Labor Day. We had other family stuff planned too. Like I managed to reserve spots for us to see the Ogden temple before it is dedicated in 3 weeks. So we got up early this morning and hit the road. It took us about an hour to get there.

We were especially excited to see the temple since Bossy and Gamer's family is planning a trip there in a few months and Drama Queen would also like to go. I guess there were a lot of people who thought the holiday would be a great day to visit the open house as well, because we ended up waiting in line for about an hour before we got in even though we had reservations.

All my guys!
It was worth it! The temple is beautiful and the kids loved the chandeliers in the Celestial Room. We took everyone to McDonald's afterward except the Gym Rat and his girlfriend. They had homework to do. Then we made the drive back to the house.

The Dog Walker worked on setting up his Luau. He put up the volleyball net and set up the chairs and the fire pit. He had decorations and leis, straws, and cups. The only thing he didn't have was the tiny paper umbrellas that prompted the party in the first place. I think they got lost somewhere...

I am so happy you were all able to go to the Ogden Temple open house. We loved going there last week with our daughter's family. It is very beautiful.
Blessings for this one!
