Little Red Riding Hood
I know Halloween is over, but I've been waiting on the Gym Rat to send me his promised picture. So about a month ago, he asked me to make a Little Red Riding Hood costume because he and his girl wanted to be Little Red and the Big Bad Wolf. Only he wanted the Little Red costume for his 6'6" frame and all 5'3" of her was planning to go as the big bad wolf.I put if off, of course, until the last possible second since my life is so crazy and I made the costume the night before his Halloween party. When I finished it, it was nearly 4:00 AM the same night we did the Go For the Gold program for the Girl Scout Community. I was tired and a bit punchy.
They also had a pie-eating contest that Burrito won, so I'm throwing in a pic of that too. Sadly, the only thing missing is my long-awaited pic of the Gym Rat and his girl. Maybe he will read this post and feel guilty...
One thing moms are really good at is the guilt-trip.

Leave the Porch Light On
Did I tell you the Gym Rat has a girlfriend? She is so cute! We are hoping it will turn into more than just a romance...
He has been working hard to make his house into a home for two. Not that they are announcing anything, mind you, but I have to tell you they are so made for each other. My sweetie went over a few days ago to help them install a new porch light. He was pleased to report that the Gym Rat had cleaned up his entire yard and flowerbeds and was busy getting it ready for winter.
He was hoping to get some Trick-or-Treaters since he had a new light, but sadly, only 4 kids rang the bell. Maybe next year.
Hopefully by October of 2015 they will have solidified their relationship and he can put her name on the mailbox too.

The Playoffs
Sport played his first game of the football tournament today. His team is undefeated and they were playing the 4th place team. We were pretty confident, but our boys don't usually do as well at 9:00 am, especially the day after Halloween. :)
They pulled it together and we eventually won the game 20 - 0. Now the boys will play for the championship next Saturday. Sport is very excited! When he played his first year of football, his team managed to win the tournament, so he knows how it feels.

He played really well today! At one point he made a hole (while blocking) that according to Grandpa was "big enough to drive a truck through:" Sport's friend ran 76 yards right up the middle to score a touchdown!
Taco's team lost their game, even though he played well, so their season is over.
I don't think I've talked much about football lately, but it has definitely been a fun year and the weather has been so nice.
I'll let you know how they play next week. Maybe I can even convince Sport to write a guest post.
That will be much easier if they win...
