Guest Blog: Things Have Gotten Worse by the Dog Walker

Mom asked me to guest blog again, probably because she's still feeling overwhelmed with knowing about how Dad's doing. Ever since Dad came home from the hospital and put into a hospice bed, he was able to move around for a little while to use his walker to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, as the cancer has taken its tole, Dad is now stuck in his hospice bed. We knew this was coming, and that Dad will be going up to heaven soon, but we've been really grateful to cherish some everlasting moments with Dad before this moment. For a few days, a lot of members from Dad's side of the family have been coming to visit him and Crafty and Craftsman have been recording a lot of Dad's fascinating stories to help us remember him by. For right now until then, we're helping Dad with some bed adjustments and even some feeding routines to help him prosper. We're really going to miss him soon, especially when it'll be hard to say goodbye, but we'll always remember him and the things he taught us. We believe that he will be glad that he raised us to become strong and willing to help others in need, just like he helped us whenever we needed him.

I've been following this blog for years and this makes me so sad. My brother passed away a little over a year ago after battling a different type of cancer. It hurts, but it is good to know that he is no longer suffering and is with our Lord and Savior.
