Backyard Campout

One of my girl scouts is leaving for Japan this week. Because I knew she would be missing all of our summer activities, I asked has what she would like to do before she left. Her eyes sparkled as she burst out, "Camping!"

I looked at her mom and then back at her. "It's too cold to go camping in the mountains." I thought for a moment. "Would you be happy with a backyard campout?"

Her smile was back.  

So last Saturday, we camped in my backyard. Tin foil dinners, smores, and a movie. We had so much fun! And breakfast crepes made by Baby Doll.
