It Was Your Birthday, Shout Hooray!

Last week was my sweetie's birthday. We celebrated with the family and we also celebrated by going out for a fancy dinner, just the two of us. We got all dressed up and we made a late reservation for Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

It was fun and super expensive!

The Leonardo

A few weeks ago, I received free admission for 4 to some of the most exciting places in the Salt Lake valley. Some of them, I have seen, some not. One of them I was most excited about was the Leonardo. We had never been there before, so my sweetie, Baby Doll, Curly, and I spent a couple of hours on a Saturday checking it out. Enjoy the pics!

Another Night with the Bees

Remember when we went to the Bees game a few weeks ago? Well, when Dog Walker found out the next day, he was super sad to have missed out. Thankfully, I still had some free passes from Smith’s, so Dog Walker picked a day and arranged to take off work.

We had lots of fun, but the Bees lost in a big way.

Grandpa was a little annoyed at how abruptly the game ended.

Burrito was a little annoyed that out of a dozen outstretched hands, including his, that Taco was the one to pull down the ball that was tossed into the crowd.

But the Dog Walker was happy. He and I had a great time!

Taco's Eagle Project

I'm glad we are finally home from the trip! I have so many other things to tell you about. Probably the biggest one that took the most of my time was Taco's Eagle Project.

If you remember, he decided to make 7 twin-sized quilts to donate to the Humanitarian Center in Salt Lake City. We had our church reserved on August 26 to make that happen.

I pieced 4 of the tops, Scout did one, Princess did one, and Taco pieced one. Princess did this cute Christmas one.

Bossy and I showed up at the church just before noon so we could get quilts on frames before kids came to help after school. We had enough frames to set up three at a time. My girl scouts had already tied one, so we only had to do two on each frame.

We didn’t have great attendance, but we had a lot of fun!

Bossy and Crafty danced around to blow off a little steam. Finally, we were finished!!

I got home just after 10:00pm and all I wanted to do was fall into bed.  It was a good but very long day.
