Burrito's Eagle Project

On Wednesday, Burrito and I gathered his completed quilts and drove downtown to the Humanitarian Center to donate them.

So proud of him!

Crazy Busy Friday

Today reminded me of the good ole days when things were crazy busy and I loved it. Now I just get tired so easy.

I got up early (must still be getting used to the time change...) and hit the ground running. I had to finish piecing one more quilt, but I couldn’t start on that until a few more things got done. I had to do a grocery order so I had what I needed for scouts. Then it was paying bills and stuff.

Finally, I made it to the craftroom, but my laundry pile just kept calling my name so I started a batch. Then I pieced a quilt from start to finish.

Nate brought up a bag of frozen chili; I figured I would have to feed dinner to Bossy's family as well.

I cleaned up the kitchen and got ready for my girl scouts to make pies. We  had a lot of fun. Each girl made 2 pies, one apple  and one pumpkin. Bossy taught them how to draw while we waited for the pies to cook. I cleaned up the kitchen. The girls didn't leave until 6:00.

I started setting up the quilts. Long story short, we got the tree skirt and matching quilt tied and one of Bridger's for his Eagle project. Just 2 more to go.

I'm tired!!

Another Eagle Project

Burrito wants to be an Eagle and that means another quilting project. Yesterday I put together 2 tops. This one is my favorite.

He needs to have 10 quilts by the time he is finished, and he has to piece 2 of them, so we have a long way to go!

Fall Break: Some Good Things

At least some good things have happened over Fall Break. Curly got his quilts turned in to the Humanitarian Center for his Eagle Project. Scout and her friend drove him over so I could sleep.

Great day!!

Curly's Eagle Project

I have been consumed this week with Curly's Eagle project. We made 8 more baby quilts for the Humanitarian Center.

We started setting up at 10am and we tied 4 quilts at a time. Curly had friends from the neighborhood and fellow scouts drop by to help for a while.

Bossy's little guys were so cute!

We even had time for a little silliness...

We got things done so quickly that we even had time to tie a single bed quilt for Bossy.

It was another great day.

Bye.
