Impromptu Lesson

Sport called me today and asked if he could come by for a haircut. It wasn't long before he showed up with his girlfriend, R. She was very interested in the process, so we turned the haircut into an impromptu lesson. 0

She did an awesome job!!

Guest Blog: The Great Brain Movie by the Dog Walker

My parents have been Great Brain fans since childhood  They asked me to read the entire series to them whenever I had the chance. It was a good series. I had no idea that it would take place in Utah or even have a little bit of LDS culture in it. After completing all eight books of the series, I encountered a rare footage of a movie about The Great Brain. It could only be found on YouTube. My mom and I watched it. Despite it being a bit fuzzy, she thought it was a good movie, The Great Brain was played by Jimmy Osmond, the brother of Donny Osmond, my mom's favorite music artist. I hope you enjoy this movie. It might entice you to read the book series.

Consumed with Wedding Stuff

It seems that I am consumed with wedding stuff! I received 2 packages from Amazon and one from Oriental Trading company just today. That's pretty typical lately. Scout and I went shopping. We were looking for a large pan and some rubber gloves so she could dye Baby Doll's dress for K's wedding in September. It is no longer light blue.

Hopefully, it's not too dark now...

I got wedding bubbles and a cake tools set from Oriental Trading company. 

Yesterday, it was Hobby Lobby...

I need some sleep.

News from New Jersey

It has been an exciting day in New Jersey! Twizzler graduated from preschool.

And a secret I have known and kept for a while. In December, Teach and Twiz are having TWINS!!

Both babies look perfect and healthy.

 We are all so excited for their family!!

Last Day of the Tournament

As it turned out, our team was playing the GSL Elect A team. We are the Elect B team.

They won the first game. But we won the 2nd one. That threw us into a tie breaker that we lost 13-15. It was definitely a close match.

Baby Doll played like a champ. If a stranger stopped by, he would have had no idea she was playing injured.

So proud of her!!

More Volleyball

 

Halfway through the 2nd set, she rolled her ankle and had to be helped off the floor. She sat for a while, but after some trainer tape, Tylenol, and pizza, she was back in the game.

Tonight, her ankle hurts, but she will be ready for the final day of play tomorrow.

Triple Crown Tournament

Baby Doll started her last in-town tournament before Nationals in Phoenix. The Triple Crown is held at the Expo Center and it is quite a bit smaller than the one held at the Salt Palace several weeks ago.

She was amazing yesterday! I forgot to take any pics until right before we left, but I will get some today. Thankfully, they are playing in the afternoon wave so we can still go to church first.

She is the silly one wearing the Christmas pajamas.

Youth City Council

Curly was chosen to serve on the Executive Committee for Youth City Council during his senior year. He wanted to be the mayor, but that would have been a difficult job with football

They had the swearing in at the actual city council meeting last Tuesday.

So very proud of him!

Burrito Graduates

Yesterday. I went with Bossy to Burrito's graduation from Bingham High School. It was surprisingly pleasant. Burrito was right in the middle of the boys, so that kept my attention.

So proud of him!

After graduation, we went to a little sushi place in West Jordan.

It was a great day to be a miner!!

Her First Quilt Top

My Poor Sweetie

Last Friday my sweetie had back surgery. It followed tears of pain and suffering.

The week before, he had a little skin cancer removed from his nose. Why can't my guy catch a break?
