Our first stop was Mardi Gras World. Since we bought the Go City passes, and it was free, we really wanted to learn more about it this crazy tradition.
We were surprised to learn that it isn't all about debauchery. It started out about giving and charity. Many of the floats even have Disney characters on them.
It was fun even though neither one of us liked the King Cake. Our next stop was the Riverwalk Mall. My sweetie needed a new pair of shoes since all the walking had given him quite a large blister.
Then it was time for a Paddlewheel Ride on the Mississippi.
The rain poured down and it wasn't quite as fun as we thought it would be.
It was finally time to check into our hotel. We had to hurry or we would be late! We bought some tickets to an amazing jazz show at Preservation Hall.
Our final stop for the evening was a late dinner at Commander's Palace. We learned how to use an Uber!
The dessert was good, but mostly it was just fun dressing up and going out together.
I'm so tired...

That looks like a fun day, even though it wasn't perfect. I liked the ending of the day too.
