Backyard Campout

One of my girl scouts is leaving for Japan this week. Because I knew she would be missing all of our summer activities, I asked has what she would like to do before she left. Her eyes sparkled as she burst out, "Camping!"

I looked at her mom and then back at her. "It's too cold to go camping in the mountains." I thought for a moment. "Would you be happy with a backyard campout?"

Her smile was back.  

So last Saturday, we camped in my backyard. Tin foil dinners, smores, and a movie. We had so much fun! And breakfast crepes made by Baby Doll.

Graduation Lunch

I forgot to tell you about our graduation lunch. Last week, after Bossy graduated, we drove back to the District where we met up with Scout and Bossy's three youngest. Rather than a fancy restaurant,  she said Red Robin with her littles would be perfect.
