Package From Santa

I have always believed in Santa Claus and the wonderful spirit of Christmas. I know that there are naysayers out there who believe that Santa is a myth or that he is just for children, but I believe he is there for everyone; an example of loving and caring for others and looking back to an easier, simpler time.

A time when kids' eyes light up at the sound of the jingle bells and their incredible faith inspires a plate of cookies and a month of good behavior. (OK,  that doesn't really happen at my house... but I'm hopeful!). Wouldn't those little cuties love to hear from Santa himself?

Now they can, with Package From Santa! I am so excited to review this product! They promised me a Silver Package which includes all of this great stuff:

  • Personalized Letter from Santa Claus
  • Personalized Nice List Certificate - 8 1/2 X 11 Photo of Santa Claus
  • Personalized Santa Flight Plan
  • Special Shipping Label Addressed To Your Child
  • Genuine North Pole Stamp
  • BONUS! Personalized Video Greeting from Santa!

Hanging out with Skittles

Gamer is a custodian in our school district and he was recently transferred and ended up with an earlier shift. That means I get to hang out with this cute guy for a couple of hours every day instead of just half an hour until his mama comes.

Skittles is almost 4 months old now and he has such a cute smile. When his tummy isn't hurting from the reflux, he is alert and so interested in his surroundings. In fact, maybe more so than any of my babies. He is finally filling out and he has chubby little legs.

His head has grown into his hair, but when he is with me, we still get tons of comments. Like today for instance, I was in Sam's Club having a bit of a freakout moment at the customer service desk because I couldn't find what I wanted when a man was just staring at my cute little guy who had finally fallen asleep.

"Wow, that's some cute kid you've got there!. Look at all that hair!" No, really, it's not just women. I have men who think he is super awesome too. I thanked him and he continued to enthuse over my cutie even as I walked away.

Look at these squishy cheeks! Who can blame him?

Watch Ya' Mouth 90s Edition

I just love that my blog gives us access to fun new activities I might not otherwise hear about or try. I think I told you before that Teach and Twiz brought over the original version of this game and I never got a chance (maybe I didn't want one...) to play, but the kids thought it was hilarious.

So on Sunday while we were waiting for the rest of the family to join us for the Dog Walker's birthday party, I handed the game to Princess and she and The Frog ran a rousing game with the younger kids. At first they were a bit quiet and when I asked her about it later, she said it was because she was born in '96 and all the little kids were all born after the turn of the century. The Frog was born in '89, but he didn't know or remember all of the references either, but after the first round or two, it didn't matter; they were all laughing hysterically.

Then on Monday night for FHE, I had to give it a try so I could give you my honest opinion. First of all, let me say that they were right. Many of the references were foreign to me and to my sweetie and both of us were born in the '60s, so we were plenty old enough to remember the '90s. But my conclusion was the same as Princess's... it didn't really matter.

Silly phrases and ridiculous Mouth Openers made for plenty of giggles and I just have to tell you this one. My sweetie was the Reader and we were all trying to be the Interpreters. OK, now I have looked through every card to try to figure out what he was supposed to be saying, but all I heard was "Neal Hart never Farts."

We laughed for 5 minutes; I could barely breathe, and then we laughed all over again.

Get this game for Christmas.
Seriously.

**We received a free Watch Ya' Mouth, 90s edition for our open and honest review.**

Happy Birthday, Dog Walker

Today was a pretty amazing day. Gamer blessed Skittles today in their family ward. We had all of my kids there except for Prima Donna. Sadly, it's been nearly impossible to get her out to anything church-related for quite some time.

We came back home after the meeting and began preparing dinner for Dog Walker's 25th birthday party. He wanted homemade lasagna and a pound cake with fruit for dessert. My sweetie made the cakes this morning with a bit of this and a bit of that. Neither one of us had ever made pound cake before, but it turned out delicious!

Princess and The Frog spent the afternoon with us and we tried unsuccessfully to get Tadpole to take a nap with me. Some of the babies I don't see very often don't like me as much which makes me sad. I would love to spend more time with all of them, unfortunately, life gets in the way.

For the most part though, things are good and life continues to fly by.

Happy birthday, Dog Walker! You are an amazing son. 💕
