Looking Beautiful

Yesterday Scout and I spent nearly 4 hours at SuperCuts color class getting our hair done. It was so fun at first. But then she was finished with her all-over color and she became pretty impatient waiting. Next time maybe she will remember to bring a book with her. It just takes a while to make me look good...

Today was our first full day watching Twizlet. I was up late with a sewing contract I had to finish, so Crafty took care of our sweet girl this morning. I had my turn this afternoon. We even took a short nap together.

Baby Doll just loves playing with her. It will be so fun for the two of them when they are a bit older.

General Conference

The Dog Walker has been after me for days to put up this picture he took of the temple Sport made during the sessions of General Conference.

Sport made this one without a kit or even a picture. He didn't have very many specialty pieces, he just had to make due with what he had and as you can see, it turned out great!

He has many skills. Master builder is just one of them.

It is spring break for us, so I haven't been perfect at posting every day. Too busy living life to write about it, but I promise I will get you all caught up when the weekend is over.

Storm's of Life

Yesterday it rained all morning so all the ball games were cancelled, but the kids still had their dance competition in Taylorsville. After they were finished, we piled into the van around 2:00 and headed to Sanpete County for our niece's wedding.

It was held at the Moroni Opera House. My SIL did a great job making the place beautiful. The kids shared their vows and when they were finished, they moved all the tables in and we enjoyed a nice dinner. I, of course, had to find a sweet baby to hold for a while since Teach and Twiz weren't able to come.

I'm no good at taking selfies...

This one belongs to another niece and is slightly older than Twizlet, but way cute and snuggly. After that we traveled to my MIL's house where my sweetie installed some railings for her so she could get more easily on and off her front porch. He ran into trouble and the task took much longer than expected. We didn't get on the road until about 9:00 pm.

The first 30 minutes of the drive were uneventful. In fact, I didn't believe him when he said he could see snowflakes. Thirty minutes later, we were in Spanish Fork Canyon and one of the worst snowstorms I can remember. The winds were so high it was difficult to stay on the road and the snow that was really more like tiny ice pellets slammed against our van from all sides. I was glad the kids slept through it.

I sort of wish I had slept through it...

In some weird way, my sweetie and I were facing these crazy storms of life for just a few minutes together and it all seemed rather symbolic. By the time we left the canyon and headed into Spanish Fork the storm was calming down and by Provo it had largely disappeared.

Just like the storms of life.

Guest Blogger: Elder's Quorum Family Party by the Dog Walker

This isn't us right now, but it was the only picture I found with all of us in it.
It's been a while since I guest blogged. But I still think it's just been recent the last time I did. But I'm just doing it, because my mother asked me to, because she has to wake up early in the morning to do another busy day. It's just like all of us. Anyway, I'm guest blogging on something that happened. One Sunday when we were at church, I got an invitation from Elder's Quorum to a Family Party at our Church that would happen on the 7th of April. I was worried about it at first, but I looked at my work schedule and it said that I didn't have to work that day. Some people were reluctant to go, because they thought it was more like a party for the Elders. But others had baseball games to attend/play. So, it left me with Scout and Baby Doll. Scout and Baby Doll were so excited to attend the party. We saw a bunch of families in our ward that were playing games and eating food. Baby Doll and Scout thought it was a lot of fun at first, but then Scout wasn't feeling good, and Baby Doll wanted to stay a little longer, but I had to try to convince both of them that we should either chose what we can do. Scout said she wants to go home, because she wasn't feeling good and Baby Doll wanted to stay because the ward was doing a Family Competition in all of the games, and also Baby Doll was complaining that we never get to have fun like that all the time. I told her that we should just go home and have some other fun. At least we were allowed to take some treats home to share with the family. I wonder if you sometimes get invited to ward parties like that? If you have, then you might have experienced the same kind of thing that I have, but I hope it was still fun for you and your family.
