Happy St. Paddy's Day

Today was another super busy day, so we decided to celebrate all things green with the girl scout troop and then not worry about it for the evening.

Baby Doll and I had planned two fun activities: making green Celtic headbands, and putting together a tasty rainbow fruit pizza. I ran to the store for ingredients in between helping the Dog Walker teach Curly's 3rd grade art lesson, and delivering cookies and money to the bank.

The girls arrived around 2:45 and they immediately got started on the fruit pizza. It used a pre-made pie crust, so that helped simplify things. We got the crusts going and then we concentrated on making headbands and slicing fruit.

Crafty and one of the other girls mixed up the cream cheese "frosting" while I sliced grapes in half. I think the favorite part for all the girls was lining up the colors of the rainbow. We used strawberries, mandarin oranges, pineapple tidbits, kiwi, blueberries, and grapes.

The tastiest part though was the eating!
