Final Band Concert at Bingham

It seems like most of my posts lately have been about Sport, but when I look back over my blog for the last decade, every child has been honored and spotlighted in May of their Senior Year.
We attended Sport's last band concert with the Bingham Wind Symphony on Friday night. You probably remember that he has been playing the trumpet since elementary school.
This final concert of the year was supposed to be at Libby Gardner Hall, but that event was canceled because of COVID-19. So they played the very last event ever in the Bingham Auditorium as we know it. I will miss seeing the Academic Decathlon banner from 2002 that Bossy belped win.
The morning after this concert ushered in their huge auditorium renovation project. They had to start mid-May so they could be finished before school starts up again in the fall.
As expected, Sport's band was amazing. Almost as good was the Concert Band that played before them.
Taco is a member of that group; playing the bass clarinet. Fun Fact: Taco and Scout will be students in the same band next year, both playing the bass clarinet.
Final band concerts always mean the school year is nearly over. Almost all grown up, Sport. Your blond head is always so easy to spot.

  1. Oh, I remember the band concerts and really loved watching my son play in it. I'm happy that you could see Sport play and that you also have others into band. It's important to have children engaged in music.
    Blessings and hugs!
