Cave Tools Grill Pan

Our friends at Cave Tools are constantly bringing out new products and they are so nice to share them with us. A few weeks ago they asked me if I would like to try their new Grill Pan. Of course we said yes; we love almost all of their products.

Their grill pan is similar to the Vegetable basket except that it is flat and it only has the little holes on one side, so if you cook something like eggs on the other side, you don't have to worry about them falling through and onto the grill.

Brilliant!!

My sweetie loves steak and eggs, but he has given up trying to cook them on the grill because it's too hard to be grilling steaks and running back and forth to the kitchen to check on the eggs. I was expecting him to cook the steaks on the slotted part of the grill pan, but he just put them directly on the grill and then he filled that side of the grill pan with fresh veggies; onions, green peppers, zucchini... you get the idea.

The last to go on was the eggs. He prefers his sunny-side up, which is tricky to get just right. As you can see, everything turned out delicious. He overcooked his eggs a bit, but the veggies more than made up for it. They were a bit crispy, smokey, buttery and delicious.

My only disappointment with the Grill Pan was the clean up. I put it in my dishwasher, as I do with all of my Cave Tools stuff. When it came out, it was technically clean, but I would have to take some steel wool or some oven cleaner to it for it to be shiny silver again. Not that it's a big deal; it's still all about the cooking and that was amazing.
