Adventures with Bossy: Mini Trek and a Family Reunion

Last Saturday, we had a family reunion and mini trek at the Mosida site owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We started out with a mini trek, giving the kids a chance to pull handcarts and reenact a scene from our family history. My sweetie stayed home to pour the new finish on the floor, so Bossy and Gamer and our youngest kids all hung out together.

Dog Walker played the part of missionary Millen Atwood. He had to make the difficult decision about leaving teenagers Joseph played by Curly, and Emily Wall (Baby Doll) behind on the trail because Joseph was sick.

Ultimately, he couldn't do it and he returned to pick them up and take them back to the handcart company. He basically saved their lives and that created our ancestors. 

I loved watching my boys pull their sisters in the handcart after the reenactment. 

We had a nice snack at the firepit.

The kids worried about me toward the end and they insisted that I get in the 4x4 that was following us for safety.

After we we got back it was time for lunch and games in the little park area.

Crafts and a family meeting finished things up nicely.  We had so much fun!!
