Super Bowl Sunday 2017

We had so much fun today at our Super Bowl party! We got out of church at 4:00, so we had to hurry because we didn't want to miss kickoff. Drama Queen gets out of her singles ward earlier, so she had nachos ready for the kids when they came in. Since I forgot to take out the chicken this morning and it was still frozen solid, it was a very good thing.

My sweetie made the most amazing cinnamon rolls! Truly, they were the highlight of the party. I made a pile of chicken chimis and Bossy brought the bean dip. Teach and Twiz brought a yummy creamy fruit salad and Beauty and The Beast brought a huge bowl of chips. Crafty shared her candy and the Dog Walker made a jello. We were only missing Prima Donna who is away at school without a car and Princess and The Frog. They were enjoying the day with his family.

I took a quick break from cooking so I could watch the halftime show, but mostly I was watching long distance from the kitchen and I didn't remember to take any pictures

By the time we turned off the fryer, the 2nd half was well underway. We had all been cheering for the Falcons since they were the underdog and had never won before. At halftime, we thought sure they had it wrapped up.

I took advantage of the screen time to finish binding the quilt we made way back in May for my Girl Scouts to donate to Primary Children's Medical Center. So glad to get one more thing off my list.

Overtime and a disappointing win for the Patriots made the kids late for bed again and I'm not looking forward to morning. Scout and Curly have band that starts at 7:30. I'm so grateful that Drama Queen takes Sport and Crafty to school every day. One of my favorite things in the world is to just ease into the morning without having to get up too early.

  1. It sounds like a great Super Bowl moment. I like how your older children are bring some of the food. It looks like you had a lot of yummy food. Then on top of it you finish a quilt; so cool. Blessings and hugs for you!
