Guest Blog - Finally a New Seminary to Serve at! by Elder Dog Walker

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I got to guest-blog about my mission. I wanted to point out that I finally found a seminary to serve at for the summer and I've been doing it ever since the summer started! :) Every Friday, I'm serving at a seminary at Granite High School in Salt Lake City downtown. The Granite High School itself is shut down. I don't know why, but I'm speculating that the school may have not had enough students to attend. I'm a bit sad that they shut it down and they're probably not going to restore it, but sell it to the government that might build something else right there. If that's ever going to happen, I may have a feeling that they may sell the seminary too by the time they do that. I'm hoping that these students at the Granite Seminary will be able to do okay at that time. Anyway, like Kauri Sue and Hartvigsen, the students at Granite are really great. They have a lot of multiple seminary classes that go from 10:00 to 4:00 every Friday. I'm just glad that Heavenly Father answered my prayer by saying to serve at Granite for the summer and then come back to Kauri Sue to serve the rest of the mission until January of 2015. In conclusion, y'all know that Sister Teach has 5 weeks left on her mission! I hope you're all excited for that! :)

  2. I love the mission you are on and I am always happy when you share your thoughts. I do hope they keep the Granite Seminary going. We served an Inner City Mission in that area and loved the people we served.
Blessings to you for your devotion to your mission.
