Do we look 50? |
I have been thinking a lot about mortality though, and wondering if maybe it is time for me to get all those scary tests done just to make sure I'm healthy. You know, Baby Doll is turning 3 in a few weeks and by the time she graduates from high school, I'll be 63, practically a senior citizen! That said, I think it's important for me to take care of myself so I can be a good mom for her until she is ready to take off on her own.
As you know, those tests I've been contemplating are pretty expensive! We have good insurance, but there is still all the co-pays. So I was pretty excited when this email popped into my inbox. University Healthcare is inviting women to receive 5 tests, heart disease, breast cancer, cervical cancer, skin cancer, and colon cancer, all in less than three hours with only a single copay! They are also offering health advice and education, a healthy breakfast, and chair massages.
We have lots of reasons to stay healthy! |
It's so important for us to keep ourselves healthy! Don't miss this amazing opportunity.

Yesterday at the high school near our home they had a huge health fair, everything was free, food, haircuts, counseling for uninsured citizens..About 2,000 showed up what does that tell you about people having no health care insurance and dental, eye, etc..It was a huge success they don't do it often enough, even though the Obamacare is coming thru soon, far too many are totally without anything as they are nearly homeless few jobs and no money for anything, most professionals gave of their time..It was something else! The Olive Garden provided huge amounts of food and beverages, many got their teeth fixed up & eye glasses given to them all for FREE..Many lined up outside the buildings at 5 am in the morning, they did it on the west side of the town where we live last year decided to put it on the east side and did provide free bus passes for many to get there and the buses ran early..That should tell you about the many many citiznes in our country and this county and town who don't have any access to any health care whatsoever..Hope you take the opportunity to get those tests even if you have to pay some co-pays, it could save your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
