Presenting Twinzee 1 and Twinzee 2.
On Sunday, we had a family party of making gingerbread houses and watching the annual Christmas Devotional. We love hearing the different Christmas stories from the speakers and hearing the Christmas songs from the Tabernacle Choir. But mostly, we had a good time with the younger kids. We also invited Grandpa to come to the party. He might have dementia, but he had a good time making his very own gingerbread house to take back to Carrington. Here are pictures of a lot of us with our gingerbread projects and a few of us watching the Devotional.
On Saturday night, Scout, Baba Doll, Skittles, and I went to SouthPointe Ballet Company's The Nutcracker. They give my free tickets because I get them grant money from the ZAP tax.
It is nice to feel like I'm a little part of something much bigger.
My namr is even in the program. ππ
Mom has asked me to guest blog for her, just because she's feeling overwhelmed that this will be the first time we celebrate Christmas without Dad. Even I'm nervous and a little stressed about all the pressure of getting things ready for the 25th and doing some Christmas shopping without him. He would want us to always remember him on how he loved and cared for us. He wouldn't want us to give up the things he taught us, like going to see the Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork every year.
So tonight, we went to Spanish Fork, me, Mom, Baby Doll, Sport, Curly, and his girlfriend. We even invited Princess and the Frog and their kids to come along to see the lights. There were always the old classic lights that we always liked seeing and there came some new ones. I was in charge of handing out cups of hot cocoa and apple cider to those who wanted some.

The rules have changed for the event, like you can only go explore the park once around, no intentions of going again on the same night. There was still the same rule of keeping the headlights off in your car and driving slowly around. After the festival, we went to drop something off at my aunt's house before we headed for home.
It was really fun to see them and we believe that Dad is very proud that we have continued the tradition. I would wonder what it would be like to celebrate the holidays up in heaven? Probably not Halloween for sure, but the most important holidays like Christmas and Easter. Maybe someday, we'll know, but at least our Dad knows.
As you all know, Scout is pretty stuck on Wicked, so last week she took Baby Doll, Curly, his girlfriend, Dog Walker, and I to the new theater in Daybreak West. We all loved the show, of course, but on the way out, we had to pass a huge arcade. Curly and his girl snuck past it, but we just couldn't resist, especially Scout.
They had a "push" machine that dropped Wizard of Oz cards and if you could get all 10, you got a huge bonus. I don't know how much Scout spent, but she got the set and enough points to buy a little air hockey table and a bunch of other things. In fair, she is REALLY good at this machine. She knows just where to shoot coins to get everything to fall.
Dog Walker found his previous obsession in the DDR game. He played 3 games. The first one was a disaster, but then I reminded him that it had been nearly a decade since he stood on a DDR pad, so he chose a different song and played it on easy. He got a perfect score. Then he changed it to normal and got an A+.

I think holidays are going to be pretty rough for us this year. Everything is different without my sweetie. I miss him so much!
But I don't want to dwell on things that can't be changed.
We had lots of fun playing games, making crafts, and cooking...and eating, of course. I am so grateful for all of these things and the 42 fantastic Thanksgivings that came before.
We hope you also had a fantastic Thanksgiving with your friends and family.
