Family Birthday Party

Today we had a fun family party to celebrate the January and February birthdays. My sweetie smoked ribs and Princess made brownies. We played board games and I gave Burrito a birthday haircut. Unfortunately, I only took one pic and here it is.

1st Tournament of the Season

Baby Doll survived her first crazy volleyball tournament. They came out of pool play as the first place team on Friday night. Baby Doll was awesome! 

Today was even longer. After getting to bed near midnight, Baby Doll was up at 6:30 this morning for more poolplay and then a little tournament.

They did well! So proud of her!

And the Fun Continues...

I know it is the day after my birthday, but the fun continues! After we dropped Baby Doll at volleyball practice, Curly and I stopped by Scheels for a new pad so he can go camping tomorrow (crazy!!).

You know Curly can make it up a flight of stairs faster than I can take the escalator?

After that we stopped by Krispie Kremes to pick up my free dozen donuts. Looks like they saved the last one for me....

Then we dropped by Big 5 for a decent coat. We can't have this kid freezing to death with his scout troop.

Then we picked up Baby Doll and drove to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

All was well and fine including our free apetizer until they brought over the saddle!

All this for a free sundae...

Did You Know...?

Did you know that pretty much every food app in your phone will give you something free for your birthday?

I started at the Holiday and got a free donut for my sweetie. Then I made a quick stop at Jamba for a free Dreamsicle.

Chick-fil-A gave me a brownie that I shared with Curly, and the Megaplex satisfied my craving for hot buttery popcorn. (I didn't share that.)

I hit the Quick Quack and washed my car.

I already spent the $10 Kohl's and $10 Torrid cash. Looking forward to Krispie Kremes, Menchies, Chilis, and Texas Roadhouse. Thankfully, they gave me a few extra days to cash in on the goodies. We didn't need to go out because Beauty and The Beast brought us a huge box full of Chinese takeout. It was perfect after my last basketball practice.

We will celebrate with the rest of the family on Sunday. Last, but definitely not least, I got the chance to talk with Elder Sport. Love that guy.

Little Mermaid at HCT

Back when my sweetie was sick, Bossy won a $100 gift card to the Hale Center Theatre. She offered it to me for my birthday, so I bought 2 tickets to see The Little Mermaid, assuming Bossy would be my date. Unfortunately, she got a migraine at the last minute so my sweetie graciously suggested I invite the Dog Walker who loves all things Disney.

The show was amazing as usual. The Dog Walker was super appreciative and jumped up quickly for the standing ovation.

Thanks, Bossy! We had a great time.

Last Jr Jazz Game

So yesterday was Baby Doll's last Jr Jazz game. She was awesome as usual. Recognize Curly as that cute official?

I will miss being her coach.

Birthday Weekend

You know it's my birthday week and so do my kids. Today Princess and The Frog sent me a pizza! It was an accident, but a happy accident for me. See, they meant to order it for themselves, but when they went to pick it up, they found out they had accidentally sent it to the Marcos closest to me.

It was a quick drive for deliciousness! You know that Marcos is also only a couple of blocks from the Quick Quack...

Baby Doll says this should be a new family tradition!

Today was the cookie meeting for my cute girl scouts. Right in the middle of my training session, the doorbell rang. 

My awesome New Jersey family sent me flowers for my birthday next week.

National Popcorn Day

Did you know that today is National Popcorn Day? Popcorn is one of my absolutely favorite foods.

Today, the Megaplex at the District filled my bucket for free.

I think this is my new favorite holiday...

Getting Ready

I've been working really hard, trying to finish Taco's scout blanket.

His Eagle Court of Honor is the first week in February and there is so much to do!!

Wordless Wednesday - 1st Day of JATC!!

MLK Day

The kids and my sweetie all had the day off, so we made plans to have a fun day together. We started out at the Planetarium. It was pretty crazy! We saw two movies, ate popcorn, and spent more money in the gift shop.

We grabbed Little Caesar's pizza on our way to the Maverik Center. We were pretty excited to watch a bit of hockey on our fun day.

We left a little early and we played bord games until dinner. We had so much fun and we hope you enjoyed the holiday too.

Reflect on Reflections: Crafty - Dance 2017

This is one of my very favorite Reflections entries. I always love watching my children dance! This coming week is Region Reflections and we only have Curly's 3D Art entry in the running although Bossy's boys are probably in there somewhere.

Busy Being a Contractor

Today we finally had the opportunity to take a look at the work being done on Grandpa's house. It looks so awesome! Check it out.

After we left the house, we drove up to my MIL's house. They have tons of snow there. Baby Doll was excited to see a deer right in the middle of town.

The snow was so deep that Baby Doll and I pulled it off the roof with snow shovels and then threw it in the flowerbed.

Then we stopped to eat at the Dairy Freeze before we headed home.

It was a nice plan before the 2-hour drive home in a snowstorm.

I'm so tired...

I got this bipap machine to help me breathe at night and last night was my 4th night. 

Things had been going pretty good until last night. The mask kept slipping and the seal wasn't tight. I couldn't stop itching so I finally got in the shower. Then my wet hair made things worse.

Around 5:00, I finally fell asleep. Sometimes life is so hard.
